Happy #pridemonth 🌈
Yesterday, we unveiled a Buddy Bench in honor of Jennifer Hylkema - a beloved teacher, mentor and friend whose legacy continues to shine at Stanley G. Falk School. The event was filled with everything Jenn loved and represented everything she gave to others.
Jenn understood the power of kindness, the importance of belonging and the impact of simply being there for someone who needs a friend. The bench, now placed in our halls at Roosevelt, is a safe space - a symbol of connection and compassion, just like Jenn was to so many.
As Jenn always said, "I had the best day with you today." We hope everyone who sits on this bench will feel that same sense of joy, support and love. ❤️🪑🌸
