ACADEMICS

COMING SOON: NY Inspires

Stanley G. Falk Schools' primary focus is on student learning, with a commitment to high expectations for success. Our goal is to provide students an education congruent with New York State Learning Standards, as well as the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP). Three pathways for academic programming are offered to ensure students meet their post-secondary goals. All diplomas are awarded from students' home school districts, and New York State and district graduation requirements apply.

REGENTS

High school students are offered the opportunity to participate in a course of study leading to a Regents Diploma. WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON

NYS PLAN Pilot Program

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) is launching a performance-based learning and assessment networks (PLAN) Pilot program to 23 school districts in the state. The Stanley G. Falk School Rossler campus was selected as a PLAN Pilot school and is the only special education school in the state that was chosen. The PLAN Pilot is part of an initiative to approach graduation requirements differently by exploring performance-based assessments rather than just the traditional written exams. Falk-Rossler will be implementing the career and technical education model, which emphasizes a work-based learning method and prepares students for success in the workplace.
