Students from our Cambridge location kicked off the return from break by celebrating Autism Awareness week! Ms. Zagrabski, Ms. Carson, and their high school Psychology classes facilitated daily activities for students to participate in, in addition to daily themes that allowed students to dress up. On Monday, students learned about Autism and decorated puzzle pieces that were hung up in the hallway. Students were able to dress in all blue for “Light it Up Blue” Tuesday and earn prizes by answering trivia questions every hour. Wednesday’s theme was “Together We Accomplish Anything” which allowed students to wear their favorite sports team apparel and challenged them to take a unique photo with their homerooms to show togetherness! Students wore hats on Thursday for “Hats off to Autism Awareness” day. On this day, students participated in a scavenger hunt to find hearts around the school. Students who found hearts were given a prize! Friday’s theme was “Help Make Dreams Come True.” On this day, students wore their pajamas to school and were given a special treat as a thank you for helping spread awareness.   It was a week filled with fun and learning!
