Alexander

Alexander’s journey at Falk School began in kindergarten and after six years, he has certainly made his mark on our school community. Everyone knows Alexander for his kindness and ability to make others feel appreciated. He is quick to tell everyone they’re doing a great job.

But becoming the outgoing and encouraging student he is today took time and growth. Alexander’s former homeroom teacher, Ms. Orr witnessed this transformation firsthand.

“Alexander made tremendous progress during his time in my classroom, both academically and socially,” Ms. Orr said. “As his confidence and social awareness grew, peer concerns became less frequent, and it was wonderful to see him develop stronger relationships and more successful interactions with others.”

Writing was also initially a challenge for Alexander, but as he was introduced to more creative and engaging writing experiences, he began to find his voice. His writing became more descriptive, detailed and thoughtful, and he became more confident putting his ideas on paper.

“Alexander also loved sharing his ideas and thoughts with others,” Ms. Orr stated. “He was naturally curious and enjoyed any opportunity to build, create and explore.”

Today, Alexander continues to explore his interests and build his confidence. He enjoys Science and the STEAM Lab, where he likes conducting fun experiments. Alexander has also signed up for Art Club and Eyas, Falk’s chorus. One subject he’s hoping to improve in this year is Art.

“The staff are always very nice and greet me every day with lots of smiles,” Alexander emphasized. “I feel prepared and confident about sixth grade!”

Alexander’s story is a reminder that impact can be seen in many different ways. It can be found in academic growth, stronger relationships and newfound confidence, but it can also be found in something as simple as making someone’s day a little brighter.
