The first Taste of Falk event at the Roosevelt campus was a huge success! Mullen and Roosevelt students and their families came together to celebrate culture, community and cuisine by submitting recipes for the Falk Family Recipe Book. Every attendee received a cookbook, sampled delicious staff-prepared dishes and participated in a passport activity for a chance to win raffle prizes. A variety of activities were available including sno-cones, crafts, a photo booth, face painting and temporary tattoos.
Staff members received so many heartwarming comments from families who appreciated the eventβs encouragement of trying new foods and its focus on cultural inclusion. Many shared how much their children felt seen and included at Falk. One family even honored their childβs late grandfather by submitting two cherished family recipes.
