K-6 students at Roosevelt gathered to participate in their first book tasting to help promote a love of reading. Students and staff were able to "taste" books of various genres and reading levels. The students were able to seek out unfamiliar books; identify the cover, description, and the first chapter to determine if they may enjoy the book. At the conclusion of the book tasting students were able to take a book home to keep as their very own.
