Retired engineer and Science enthusiast, Dave Courtade (aka Mr. Roboto) visited the third grade classrooms at Roosevelt for Fun Friday. Mr. Roboto demonstrated how to operate Cubelets. Cubelets is a kit that contains hands- on, engineering models and challenges geared towards grades 3-4. There are 14 Mod Bots with which the students can build their own robots. Mr. Roboto captivated his audience as he modeled the Challenges with the assistance of student volunteers. The students then got to build their own robots in groups. They were delighted to share their creations that moved, lit up, and perform various other tasks. The students are looking forward to diving deeper into this kit and accompanying it with the BrickLAB Zoology STEM kit.
