Who we are

Stanley G. Falk School, a New York State Education Department-approved Special Day School, provides educational programming for students aged 5-21 years, who have special learning, social, and emotional needs.

Classroom instruction and related services are provided according to each student's Individual Education Plan. Students receive instruction in highly-structured small classroom settings.

Our highly-qualified staff provide students with the academic, social, and behavioral supports necessary for meeting commencement requirements. School-to-work transition planning begins at age 13, to prepare students for the shift to the community and toward their post-secondary goals.

Character education traits – trustworthiness, responsibility, caring, citizenship, respect and fairness – are integrated throughout the curriculum.

Our Mission

To provide a traditional school experience with educational supports for students with special learning and behavioral needs.

Our Vision

To help our students discover their purpose so they will make meaningful contributions to society.

Our Promise

With quality, keep our program sustainable, and have a positive impact on the students and families we serve.

Students who attend Stanley G. Falk School are referred by their home school district's Committee on Special Education. The appropriateness of placement is determined jointly by Stanley G. Falk School, the home school district, the student and the family.
